Fox just released the official three-minute trailer for its“Baywatch”reboot, and it’s serving everything fans expected: slow-motion runs on the sand, red swimsuits, shirtless lifeguards, and a rescue scene where two girls parasailing get struck by a plane. The series premieres in January 2027, with Stephen Amell starring as Hobie Buchannon, captain of the Venice Beach lifeguards.

The plot centers on Hobie’s biological daughter, Charlie Vale, played by Jessica Belkin, who shows up looking for a lifeguard job and a relationship with her dad. The trailer also teases romances between Charlie and Luke (Noah Beck) and between Trina (Shay Mitchell) and Brad (Thaddeus LaGrone). And the nostalgia hits hard: David Chokachi returns as original-series lifeguard Cody Madison, with Kelly Packard and Michael Bergin also filming.

One name you won’t see on the sand is Pamela Anderson. The original C.J. Parker said no one approached her about a cameo in the reboot. So now the big debate begins: does this new version honor the original, or is it just borrowing the swimsuits? Let us know what you think in the comments.
