A batch of old tweets is back in the spotlight, and Donna Kelce is not having it. The posts, written between 2009 and 2011 under the handle @tkelce, mocked women over their weight and appearance. The New York Times reported on them back in 2023, but they resurfaced this weekend after Travis Kelce“liked”a post supporting comedian Shane Gillis’controversial SNL monologue. A source says the like was just him backing a friend.

On Saturday, Donna posted that the tweets came from an account that was“not Travis’handle and not his account.”Fair warning: the handle in question is @tkelce, which, as the internet immediately pointed out, bears a strong resemblance to her son’s name. Travis himself addressed these same tweets on New Heights in 2023, asking“What was I even f—ing doing in some of these tweets?”So the family has offered two different versions of events this week.

Meanwhile, Travis has a game Sunday, with the Chiefs hosting the Chargers in Kansas City, and you know the questions are coming. Is it fair to keep dragging up posts from 15 years ago, or does a public figure’s old account stay fair game forever? Drop your take in the comments.
