Troye Sivan has a new career milestone, and it comes with a small asterisk. His fourth album, She’s The Best, enters the ARIA Albums Chart at No. 2, the highest debut of his career so far. His previous albums opened at No. 6, No. 3, and one of them spent a single week at No. 1. So while the top spot stayed just out of reach this time, this is still his strongest first week ever.
The reason he didn’t take No. 1? Olivia Dean. Her album The Art Of Loving returned to the top for a 15th non-consecutive week after her Australian arena tour wrapped, and she’s currently sitting on six titles inside the singles top 40. That is a serious chart grip.
Elsewhere, Tame Impala’s Deadbeat climbed from 47 to No. 5 while the band plays 12 dates across Australia, and Chase&Status earned their first-ever top 10 with Generic Everything at No. 9. On the singles chart, Taylor Swift’s“Patient Zero”is back at No. 1, and Jamie Miller’s“Babydoll”is the biggest new entry at No. 35.
Which of these albums have you had on repeat this week?
