New Music Friday delivered in a big way this week. Olivia Rodrigo released an“Expectations”remix featuring Chappell Roan, and Chappell doesn’t just add a verse. She takes over the entire second half with a verse and chorus takeover that supercharges the original. The two pop stars have been mutual fans for years, so this collaboration has been a long time coming for the fans who saw it brewing.

Tate McRae also launched her next era with“Housewife,”a midtempo anthem about self-sufficiency. The hook says it all:“I just wanna make a lot of money, be my own housewife.”The single art features a baby carriage stuffed with cash, and the message lands loud and clear. Meanwhile, Zach Bryan surprise-released the eight-song EP“Young Manhood&Other Donatable Organs”on Warner Records, featuring collaborations with Lana Del Rey and Turnpike Troubadours.

The stacked release day doesn’t stop there. Belgian pop star Angèle dropped her third album“Instinct”with Caroline Polachek and SebastiAn, Ashe released“The Girl Of Your Dreams”after“Stop the Wedding!”hit No. 48 on the Hot 100, and Justice, revealed as the Grand Theft Auto VI composers, shared“Flower in a Hurricane”with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard. Which release are you playing first this weekend?
