Taylor Frankie Paul Responds to Doug Mason's Tell-All: "He's a Good Soul"

Doug Mason just gave the interview none of us expected from a season none of us ever got to watch. On the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, he opened up about filming The Bachelorette with Taylor Frankie Paul and admitted he felt like a stand-in for her ex, Dakota Mortensen, the entire time. It got tense enough that Doug walked off a group date after Taylor agreed with a comparison between the two men. That’s a scene we’ll never get to see, which honestly makes it hurt more.

Then came the twist. Taylor popped into the comments on an Instagram preview of the interview and wrote that they actually became closer after filming, calling Doug“a good soul when he opens up.”This is the same pair whose engagement ended after Taylor hooked up with Dakota and explored a connection with Ben Lambert, and whose season was canceled days before its March premiere after old domestic dispute footage surfaced.

So where does that leave them? Fans are split. Some see two people who genuinely grew from a weird situation. Others see a very polished public reconciliation. Either way, the Bachelorette season that never aired is delivering more drama than most seasons that did.

Do you think Taylor and Doug are really on good terms, or is there more to this story? Sound off in the comments.
