Spirit Ranch wrapped up its 6th Annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and the Pavilion in Escondido Canyon was the place to be. Admission was free, which meant locals could stroll in, grab a pour from one of seven craft breweries, and settle in for an afternoon of German-inspired food and live music.
The brewery lineup included Brewery LBK, Good Line Beer Co. and Two Docs Brewing, a solid showing of what the region’s craft beer scene has built. SPiVEY and Joy Riot handled the entertainment, while the best-dressed contest gave the lederhosen crowd their moment. Then came the beer stein-holding competition, where arms shook, crowds cheered, and somebody walked away a champion.
What makes this event stand out is the family angle. Bounce houses and games kept the kids busy, so parents could actually enjoy the afternoon. Presented by Spirit Ranch and Scoggin Dickey Parts, Oktoberfest has become a genuine fixture on Lubbock’s fall calendar. Six years in, it’s proof that a good community tradition doesn’t need a gate fee. Were you there on Sunday, and how long did you last in the stein contest?
