Nelly and Ashanti are taking us along for one very big night out. The trailer for season two of their Peacock series, Nelly&Ashanti: We Belong Together, dropped Thursday and shows the couple getting ready for and traveling to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. Nelly doesn’t hide his excitement either, declaring himself a Swiftie and praising Taylor as“amazing”for what she’s achieved as a woman in such a male-dominated industry.
The trailer isn’t all glitz. On the way to the wedding, a small argument breaks out over a forgotten bottle of lotion, which might be the most relatable moment two superstars have ever filmed. The season also follows Ashanti as she re-records her masters, a story line that lands right in the middle of the ongoing conversation about artists owning their music, plus the couple navigating life with their son Kareem. Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Jadakiss all make appearances in the clip.
Season two of Nelly&Ashanti: We Belong Together premieres November 19 on Peacock. With one of the year’s biggest celebrity weddings and a masters re-recording in the mix, this season has plenty to talk about.
