Diddy Transferred to Pennsylvania Prison as Bureau of Prisons Stays Silent on Why

Sean“Diddy”Combs has a new cell block. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed to Billboard that the music mogul was transferred Friday from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to the low-security section of FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania. Both facilities operate at the same security level, and the Bureau declined to explain the move, citing privacy and safety policies.

Combs has been incarcerated since October 2025, serving a four-year sentence for arranging interstate prostitution events he referred to as“freak-offs.”His time at Fort Dix, along with earlier detention at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, counts toward his overall sentence. He’s currently set for release in March 2028 and is appealing to reduce his time.

The transfer comes after a chaotic stretch at Fort Dix. Reports describe multiple fights, repeated stints in solitary confinement, and a September NBC News investigation alleging he enjoyed a“pampered”existence behind bars complete with contraband phones, massages and Hennessy. Whether the move is tied to any of that remains unclear, since the Bureau won’t discuss transfer reasons for any inmate.

What’s your read on this? Was the transfer about safety, discipline, or something the feds just aren’t telling us?
