Gleb Savchenko took to a TikTok livestream this week and didn’t hold back on fellow DWTS pro Alan Bersten. According to Gleb, Alan is“just not up to the level of dancing, like, period,”adding that he has nothing against the guy, but questioning why Alan was chosen to step in for suspended pro Val Chmerkovskiy on“Dedication Night.”He even suggested a troupe dancer should have partnered with Jenna Dewan instead.
The timing is tough to ignore. Alan won the Mirrorball Trophy in 2019 with Hannah Brown, while Gleb’s best finish is fourth, and Gleb was cut from the show ahead of Season 35. Val’s one-week suspension came after a since-deleted post referencing Will Smith’s Oscars slap, which is what opened the door for Alan in the first place. Alan and partner Giada De Laurentiis were eliminated in week two this season.
Pro-on-pro drama like this rarely plays out in public, which is exactly why the fandom is spiraling. So where do you stand: was Gleb just keeping it honest, or should this have stayed in the group chat? Sound off in the comments.
