Collin Gosselin, 22, Accuses Kate Gosselin of Abuse in New Memoir "In the Shadow of Eight"

The Gosselin family name is back in the headlines, and this time the story is coming from one of the kids. Collin Gosselin, now 22 and one of the sextuplets from TLC’s“Jon&Kate Plus 8,”has released a memoir titled“In the Shadow of Eight.”In it, he claims his mother Kate dragged him across rooms by his ear, leaving it swollen, and describes what he calls horrible mental, emotional, and verbal abuse against his siblings. He also says he was punished for not wanting to film the show.

Kate Gosselin has denied the allegations, previously calling Collin troubled and pointing to his psychiatric diagnoses. Collin tells a different story, saying he was sent to a behavioral health facility at 11 and later placed in his father Jon’s custody in 2018, along with his sister Hannah. He has been estranged from Kate since. There are no criminal charges tied to the allegations.
