Dionne Warwick fans were ready to see the legend take the stage at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on Sunday for the Deborah Silver&Fabulous Friends: Voices for ALS benefit. Instead, the 85-year-old icon had to cancel, telling Page Six that severe leg and foot pain left her unable to stand or walk.“Due to the pain, I just couldn’t do anything other than cancel my appearance this time, as I focus on rest and recovering from it,”she said, apologizing to fans. The news comes after leg surgery in September 2025 for what Warwick described as unbearable pain.

The show went on, and it went on in style. Cabaret great Marilyn Maye stepped in, performing alongside Jon Secada, his daughter Mikaela Secada, and jazz singer Stella Cole. Because Deborah Silver and her husband fully funded the event, every ticket dollar went directly to ALS research, which means one tough night for Warwick still turned into a real win for the cause.

Warwick’s fans have flooded social media with recovery wishes, and honestly, it’s a reminder of how much love this five-time Grammy winner still commands after six decades in music. Here’s hoping she’s resting comfortably and back on her feet soon.
