Lawton shoppers get three chances to buy local this November, with holiday markets booked across three consecutive weekends. The season starts Saturday, November 7, when the Hippie Holiday Handmade Market runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lawton Fort Sill Art Council. Expect handmade goods from area makers and a setting that pairs nicely with a Wichita Mountains afternoon.
The second stop is Stop&Shop Local on November 14, running noon to 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn. More than 80 vendors will be set up, and proceeds from the event, organized by Events By Our Team, are donated to a local organization. Then the month closes with the 53rd Annual Craft Harvest Craft Show, November 20 through 22 at the Comanche County Fairgrounds. That one brings 200 vendors and pictures with Santa, hosted by the Lawton Craft, Art, Hobby Association.
Every market on this list is organized by a local group or nonprofit, so the money you spend stays in the community. For Fort Sill families and longtime Lawton residents alike, it’s a simple way to finish the gift list early, support area artists, and enjoy a few family-friendly weekends before the December rush. Which market are you marking on your calendar first? Let us know in the comments.
