A new excerpt from Jonathan Van Meter’s upcoming Kim Kardashian biography is pulling back the curtain on one of the most explosive moments in Keeping Up With the Kardashians history, and it never even aired. According to longtime producer Farnaz Farjam, Ye walked into Caitlyn Jenner’s birthday celebration with Kim and launched into a 30-minute rant aimed at Kris Jenner and the rest of the family, questioning why they didn’t vote for him in 2020. The cameras were rolling the entire time, but the fight was left out of the show’s final season.

Farjam explained the decision, saying the family was trying to reunite and support each other during that period, so the argument got cut rather than aired. The timing lines up with a wild stretch for the family: the final KUWTK season aired in spring 2021, Kim filed for divorce in February of that year, and the settlement was finalized in November 2022. The book, out October 27, also includes Kim looking back on her relationship with Ye, saying he absolutely changed her life.

So we’re left with the big reality TV question: should that footage have aired, or was keeping it private the right move? The family clearly chose the second option, and we only found out because a producer finally talked. Drop your take below, should it have aired or stayed buried?
