A Wichita Falls couple is facing charges in Comanche County after a Lawton police undercover operation ended at a hotel on Sept. 4. According to court records, an investigator arranged a meeting through messages on a website, agreeing on 30 minutes for $400. When Melysa Cribb, 28, arrived, police say her husband Deante Adams waited outside in a Mitsubishi Eclipse with two small children in the car.
Adams is charged with felony procuring for prostitution and unlawful use of a telephone in a felony, along with a misdemeanor count tied to his driver’s license. Cribb received a misdemeanor count of engaging in or soliciting prostitution. Investigators say Adams admitted bringing his wife to work as an escort and told police he regularly communicated with her clients. Court records also show Adams has a prior felony conviction in Wichita County, Texas, from 2019 for abandoning or endangering a child.
Adams is being held on $30,000 bond with a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 20. Cribb is free on $5,000 bond. The two children were detained and taken to the Lawton police department.
