Taylor Swift is holding the top of the U.K. Official Singles Chart for a third consecutive week with“Patient Zero,”the single from the Encore deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl. That gives her three U.K. No. 1s in 2026 alone, following“Opalite”and the Toy Story 5 track“I Knew It, I Knew You.”She premiered the song’s video at the 2026 MTV VMAs, where she also won the inaugural artist director prize, and closed out the weekend with surprise sets at the Academy Museum Gala.

The chart underneath her is just as interesting. Jamie Miller’s“Babydoll”rises to a new peak at No. 2, a Cardiff-to-the-top story worth watching. Ashe’s“Stop The Wedding!”and Adéla’s“Nicole Kidman”both gain, Noah Kahan climbs to No. 17, and P!nk’s“Just Give Me a Reason”re-enters the top 40 at No. 15, thirteen years after its release, on the back of a streaming spike.

So what’s the takeaway? Deluxe editions remain a chart force, a 2013 pop classic can be resurrected by social media at any moment, and the U.K. charts are genuinely competitive again. Which of these developments surprises you most?
