Selma Blair was arrested on Sunday after a Delta flight to JFK turned chaotic. According to Page Six, she allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another, prompting the pilot to request medical and law enforcement help for an“abusive”passenger. Injuries reportedly included a bloody nose and bite marks. She was restrained on the plane and arrested when it landed, then allegedly kicked a Port Authority officer in the head inside the ambulance. A nurse at the hospital has also pressed charges.

Her attorneys say she had missed her multiple sclerosis medication and had fallen and hit her head, calling the incident“not an intentional assault.”Her rep added that she experienced a medical emergency and is in stable condition. Just before boarding, Blair replied to a fan on Instagram saying she was“not great”and“sad,”then posted a montage from her seat moments before the alleged outburst.

On Monday, Blair pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault. She was released on bail and is due back in court on January 19, 2027. If convicted, she faces two to seven years. What do you think — does a medical emergency change how we should view what happened?
