RJ Mitte, the actor who brought Walter“Flynn”White Jr. to life on“Breaking Bad,”has died by suicide in Texas. He was 34. A county official confirmed the death to TMZ. Mitte, who lived with cerebral palsy, was just 13 when he started on the show, and he quickly became more than a young actor on a hit series. He became a voice.

Outside of acting, Mitte dedicated his life to disability rights. He served as a celebrity ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, and he was a Screen Actors Guild spokesperson for actors with disabilities. He pushed for real representation, not just visibility. He wanted disabled performers to be seen as artists, not symbols. In October 2025, he announced his engagement to girlfriend Kennedy Suarez, calling her“my person”and“my everything.”

His death is a loss that reaches far beyond Hollywood. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by calling or texting 988.
