Prince’s 2006 album 3121 was the first in his career to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and twenty years later the Prince Estate is making sure that milestone gets the celebration it deserves. The 3121 Expanded Edition arrives December 11th with the original 12 tracks plus 10 recordings from the vault, including acoustic versions of“The Word,”“Love,”and“Te Amo Corazón.”It’s available digitally, as a 3LP + Blu-ray set, and as a 2CD + Blu-ray.

For anyone who never caught Prince live, the Vegas material is the centerpiece. His January 20th, 2007 residency show is being released as 3121 Las Vegas Live on November 27th for Record Store Day Black Friday, a two-hour-plus recording that runs through 3121 and Musicology material alongside“Purple Rain,”“Kiss,”and“U Got the Look.”The same 154-minute concert comes to theaters in 4K and Dolby Atmos as Prince: 3121 Las Vegas Concert on December 3rd in the US and Canada, with tickets on sale November 11th.

New music is already here, too: vault track“Time of Ur Life”is out now with a live video for“Black Sweat.”Twenty years on, the 3121 era keeps revealing more of what Prince was cooking up in the studio and on stage. Which part of this rollout are you most excited for: the vault tracks, the live album, or the theater screening?
