Jennifer Lopez has new music on the way, and her description of it is already the most quotable pop moment of the fall. In a Variety interview, Lopez revealed that after her 18-year-old twins Max and Emme left for college, she wrote some of the best songs of her career. The upcoming tracks, she said, are“super fun and cunty for my gays”— a nod to her huge LGBTQ+ fanbase and a promise of bold, glamorous pop.
The first taste of that creative burst is“Proof of Love,”a dance track about finding evidence of love in someone’s absence and turning grief into celebration. The song will appear as a bonus track on the first-ever vinyl edition of her 2011 album Love?, the record that gave us“On the Floor”with Pitbull. Three vinyl variants went up for preorder on October 28 via her website.
Release dates for the additional songs and her next studio album haven’t been announced — her most recent full-length was 2024’s This Is Me… Now. Between the fan-favorite album finally hitting wax and the promise of dance-floor catharsis, this year keeps sounding more promising by the minute. Which Love? track are you claiming as the vinyl centerpiece?
