Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor who took over the iconic role of Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives in 1992, died October 3 at the age of 62. A police incident report obtained by Us Weekly is now revealing new details about his final hours, and they’re hitting soap fans hard.
According to the report, his wife Allison Kelly picked him up from Spirit Airport in Missouri around 7:30 p.m. During the drive, he complained of pain in his left arm and chest and asked her to stop the car so he could vomit. She said he declined a trip to the hospital and asked to go home and lie down instead. Once home, he changed clothes, got into bed, told her he was still in pain and asked for an aspirin. When she returned to the bedroom, he was unresponsive and not breathing, and she called 911. Police and the St. Charles County Ambulance District attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m. His cause of death has not been revealed, and the case is considered closed.
Kelker-Kelly won a 1994 Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actor for his run as Bo Brady, starring opposite Kristian Alfonso and Lisa Rinna. He later played Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital. Former costar Sandra Dee Robinson remembered him in an Instagram tribute on October 5, calling his passing a shock and noting his love of flying. Chest pain, left arm pain and nausea are classic heart attack warning signs, and doctors say you should call 911 rather than wait it out at home.
