Back-to-school season is here, and for many families in Lawton, the cost of supplies can feel overwhelming. That’s where Townsquare Media Lawton and SouthWest Buick GMC come in with their expanded Pick-A-Pack initiative. After seeing the response last year when they gave away 40 backpacks, the event has grown to 120 backpacks packed with school supplies and prizes. The giveaway happens Saturday, August 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SouthWest Buick GMC, located at 5002 NW Cache Road. This expansion shows just how much our community cares about setting kids up for success.
If you have kids in Lawton schools, you can enter them to win a backpack right now through Monday, August 3. All you need is your parent contact information, your child’s name, and the school they attend. Winners will be notified by phone and email, and you’ll pick up the backpack in person on August 8. Winners must attend the event to claim their prizes. On the business and donation side, Townsquare Media and SouthWest Buick GMC are actively seeking donations of school supplies like notebooks, pencils, markers, scissors, folders, and glue. Donations can also include fun items like gift cards, water bottles, lunch boxes, earbuds, and company-branded merchandise. No minimum donation amount is required—every contribution helps fill more backpacks.
