Lawton Police Academy Welcomes a New Class: 23 Weeks to Becoming an Officer!

The Lawton Police Department has officially kicked off a new training cycle with its Academy Class 2026-24. Starting on February 3, this new cohort of recruits will undergo a rigorous 23-week program designed to challenge them mentally and physically. It’s no easy feat, as the academy’s curriculum prepares individuals for the demanding and noble profession of law enforcement.
