Jenna Johnson Gets Real About Maks and Peta's Florida Move: "Heartbroken" But Happy

Dancing With the Stars fans know that the Chmerkovskiy family is tighter than a cha-cha beat, so when Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd packed up their three sons and moved from Los Angeles to Boca Raton, Florida, you know it shook things up. Jenna Johnson, who is married to Maks’s brother Val, is opening up about how the distance is affecting their family dynamic.

“We are heartbroken? Yes, because we literally lived in the same neighborhood for two years, and you forget how much you take advantage of that until they’re gone,”Jenna shared. But she’s also quick to point out she’s genuinely thrilled for them. Peta explained that Boca Raton won them over with its stunning beaches, top-rated schools, and unbeatable lifestyle for their boys, Shai, Rio, and Milan.

For now, Jenna and Val are staying in L.A. with their son Rome, but they’re planning to keep things bi-coastal with plenty of holiday visits.
