Ozzy Osbourne fans, there is new music somewhere out there. Producer Andrew Watt, who worked on Ozzy’s final two solo albums, told Rolling Stone that he and Ozzy recorded as-yet-unheard songs made“for a specific reason.”That’s all he’s saying for now, but he did confirm a plan for the tracks exists. He also shared a detail that hits right in the heart: he and Ozzy listened to those songs together in Ozzy’s Birmingham hotel room the night before his final Back to the Beginning concert.
Watt admitted the tracks are hard for him to listen to now, adding,“I miss him every day.”He also cleared up recent comments from Tony Iommi about a planned final Black Sabbath album, saying the guitarist was taken out of context after the project fell apart because Bill Ward was unavailable for personal reasons.
Ozzy died July 22 at 76, seventeen days after that farewell show. Fans get one more way to celebrate him when the film documenting the final gig hits theaters October 28. What do you hope the unheard tracks sound like? Let us know!
