An inquest report from Cameron County, Texas, obtained by Page Six, has confirmed that“Breaking Bad”actor RJ Mitte died by suicide by hanging. He was 34. Mitte was pronounced dead at 1:32 p.m. on Oct. 12 in Brownsville; autopsy and toxicology testing had been requested, but those results were not included in the records reviewed.

Mitte, who played Walter“Flynn”White Jr. on the acclaimed series, had already been confirmed by his representative to have died by suicide. His rep remembered him as a beloved actor, philanthropist and passionate disability rights advocate. Drawing from his own experience living with cerebral palsy, Mitte brought authenticity to the role and built a platform around disability awareness and inclusion, serving as an ambassador for organizations including United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s.

If you or someone you know is struggling, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 by call or text. What is your favorite memory of Mitte’s work on“Breaking Bad”?
