Electronic music is officially taking over Halloween in New Orleans. Freaky Deaky NOLA makes its inaugural debut October 30-31, 2026 at the iconic Mardi Gras World venue, bringing one of the dance music world’s most recognizable Halloween festivals to a city legendary for its October celebrations. The two-day event features distinct programming across both nights: Friday emphasizes bass and electronic music with Porter Robinson headlining as a DJ, alongside Of The Trees and Dabin, while Saturday’s Halloween night shifts entirely to house music with FISHER and Chris Lorenzo leading the charge. This expansion marks the second major Freaky Deaky location following the success of Freaky Deaky Texas, and it’s built on a deeply personal foundation.

Founder James Estopinal, a New Orleans native, threw underground raves throughout the city beginning over 30 years ago. Now, alongside three other major promoters with deep roots in the local electronic music scene—Encore Entertainment, The Metropolitan, and Amps Events—Estopinal is bringing Freaky Deaky home as a full sensory experience. The festival promises towering production, theatrical staging, roaming performers, and interactive moments that blend the brand’s signature wild energy with unmistakable New Orleans character and spirit. Ticket sales begin July 23, 2026 at 10 AM CST, with two-day and single-day passes available at early-bird pricing before standard rates kick in. Additional artists for both nights are expected to be announced soon.

For electronic music enthusiasts, Halloween lovers, and anyone looking to experience a major festival event in one of America’s most culturally rich cities, Freaky Deaky NOLA represents something genuinely special. The combination of world-class DJs, immersive production design, and New Orleans’legendary October atmosphere creates a once-in-a-year opportunity. Whether you’re a bass music fan hitting Friday’s lineup or a house music devotee ready for Saturday’s Halloween celebration, this is shaping up to be the marquee electronic music event of the season. Which night are you planning to attend?
