Daniel Seavey Says Benson Boone Saved His Love of Music — Now He Wants a Pitbull Collab

Daniel Seavey has been through the wringer. After Why Don’t We ended, he faced lawsuits and a rough two to three years where the future of his career felt anything but certain. But then he opened for Benson Boone’s 2024 tour, and everything shifted. Seavey told Billboard that Boone is“the sweetest dude I’ve maybe met in this business, genuinely,”and that his optimism reminded him how fun music is supposed to be.

Now Seavey is riding that momentum. He performed his single“Love’s a Gun”at the 2026 TMElive International Music Awards in Hong Kong on August 22, and he’s dreaming bigger than ever. His ideal next move? A collab with Pitbull. In his words:“Pitbull — the serotonin that guy introduced to the world. I feel like we’re missing it today. Where’s the whimsy and the fun?”He even joked he’d rock a bald cap on stage for it.

The timing lines up too, with Pitbull set for a Superstar Q&A at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami from October 19 to 22. So what do you think — should Daniel Seavey and Pitbull actually make a track together? Drop your take in the comments.
