Becca Tilley Says This Church Date Is When She Knew Hayley Kiyoko Was 'The One'

Becca Tilley revealed this week that she knew Hayley Kiyoko was her forever person after one very thoughtful date. Tilley told Us Weekly that Kiyoko, who wasn’t raised religious, surprised her with a visit to a church Tilley had wanted to try. Tilley grew up religious, and that gesture landed.“I was like,‘She’s The One,'”she said, adding that she knew“pretty much from when we met.”

The couple kept their relationship private for nearly four years before going public in May 2022 with Kiyoko’s“For the Girls”music video. Since then, the milestones have come fast: Kiyoko proposed in Spain in July 2025, and Tilley proposed back in Japan five months later.

Wedding planning is on a slower track. Tilley, who cohosts iHeartRadio’s Scrubbing In podcast, hasn’t picked a dress yet, and the couple has said they won’t marry in humidity because they become“the worst versions of ourselves.”Fair rule.
