The Beatles’story is getting a whole lot more square footage. Apple Corps announced Tuesday that The Beatles Story museum will move from Albert Dock to the former St Johns Market site in Liverpool, growing into a 100,000-square-foot attraction with immersive technology and original artifacts. The reimagined museum is set to open in 2028 and will be more than four times the size of the current space.

The plans don’t stop there. A separate Yellow Submarine-themed viewing experience will open atop St. John’s Beacon, giving fans 360-degree views of the city that birthed the biggest band in music history. The entire project is timed to the release of Sam Mendes’four-film Beatles biopic series in April 2028, making Liverpool the place to be that year.

What makes it even better is where the money goes. Every ticket sold to The Beatles Story will contribute to the Apple Corps Liverpool Trust, which supports emerging local artists. Apple Corps CEO Tom Greene called it a way to“do justice”to the band’s legacy, while Paul McCartney said he finds it“incredible and humbling”that people are still interested in their story. So, would you plan an entire Liverpool trip around this?
