Lawton has a new excuse to embrace the ugliest garment in your closet. Full Circle, the reclaimed furniture and vintage shop, is hosting its first annual Ugly Sweater Fashion Show at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at 1605 W. Gore Blvd. Admission is a suggested $10 donation to the Lawton Food Bank, and the models are your neighbors. Local residents will walk the runway in their best holiday disasters, from light-up reindeer to full-on knitted snow scenes.

Don’t own an ugly sweater? Full Circle has you covered. Attendees can rent one for $10, which is a smart deal if you have office parties and family gatherings on the calendar. Skip the shipping and the buyer’s remorse, wear it to every event, then return it. The food bank gets supported either way.

SouthWest Auto Group is the title sponsor, with additional support from Johnny Owens Commercial Properties, Linda Mask, Flowers by Ramon and Townsquare Media Lawton. It’s a local small business turning a silly idea into real help for families in the community. Full details are on Full Circle’s Facebook page. So tell us, what’s the ugliest Christmas sweater you’ve ever seen in Lawton?
