Marcel Johnson, the 32-year-old TikTok creator who shared his stage four stomach cancer journey with his followers, died on November 2. His wife Taylor announced the news, saying he passed at 4:45 p.m. after final hours of considerable pain and exhaustion. She shared that the morning before his death, he told her and a family member, Dedric, that he was ready to go.
Johnson was diagnosed in August 2025 and spent more than a year documenting his treatment on TikTok and Instagram, from chemotherapy sessions to hospital visits. After 25 rounds of chemotherapy, he announced in September 2026 that he could no longer continue treatment because he was too weak. His final post on October 25 showed him smiling at home beside one of his sons.
A GoFundMe originally created to help with his cancer treatment is now supporting Taylor and their five children, and it has raised more than $391,000.“I love him with my whole entire being and life will absolutely never ever be the same,”Taylor wrote in her announcement. If you’ve been following his story, what’s one thing Marcel’s journey taught you?
