Taylor Swift added another milestone to her résumé Monday night: at 36, she became the youngest artist ever inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. The honor came at the organization’s 56th anniversary gala, where she joined the Class of 2026 alongside Lyle Lovett, Bruce Channel, Shawn Camp and Lee Thomas Miller. During her speech, Swift reflected on her roots, saying she“fixated on Nashville”as a child learning to write songs.

The night was also a fashion moment. Swift wore a burgundy velvet Raisa Vanessa strapless mini dress with an autumn floral print, paired with purple Jimmy Choo heels featuring crystal ankle straps and a softly curled half-up hairstyle. It was a fitting look for a songwriter whose career started in country music before she became a global pop phenomenon.

The timing makes the honor even sweeter. Her song for Toy Story 5,“I Knew It, I Knew You,”hit No. 1 on the US country radio chart in September, her first country chart-topper in 13 years. Between the record, the dress and the speech, it was a night Swifties and country fans will be talking about for a while. What’s your favorite Taylor era: country or pop?
