Taylor Swift gave“The Fate of Ophelia”its first-ever live performance Saturday night at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’sixth annual gala in Los Angeles. The set also included“Love Story,”“Blank Space”and“I Knew It, I Knew You,”her original song from“Toy Story 5.”
The red carpet moment was just as big as the performance. Swift wore a strapless pale blue Dior gown, while the gala honored filmmaker John Carpenter, Colman Domingo and Charlize Theron. The co-chair list read like a Hollywood hall of fame, with Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez and Steven Spielberg among the names.
The appearance follows Swift’s record-breaking run at the 2026 MTV VMAs, where she became the most-awarded artist in the show’s history. Academy Museum Director Amy Homma praised Swift as“an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world.”With a live debut this buzzy, fans are already asking the big question: does“Ophelia”get a tour? What song are you hoping she performs live next?
