North West, 13, Claps Back at "Demonic" Style Claims: "Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover"

North West is done with the internet’s opinion about her wardrobe. The 13-year-old went live on TikTok to address claims that she dresses“demonic,”telling viewers,“Oh no, I’m not demonic, guys. Stop saying I’m demonic.”She followed it up with a line that’s now circulating everywhere:“Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Kim Kardashian has weighed in too, saying the criticism likely comes from North’s black grill and piercings, and that people don’t“really get it.”The scrutiny isn’t new. North has worn face tattoos, bright wigs, corset-and-miniskirt looks, and a dermal finger piercing in Rome back in August 2025. Kim has blocked some requests, like a bridge piercing, and has called the public criticism of her daughter“really hard.”

Here’s the part that gets lost in the discourse: North is a teenager experimenting with her style while millions of people watch and rate it. Most of us got to do that privately. She’s doing it on TikTok Live, on red carpets, and in every paparazzi shot. Love the grill or not, her message is pretty hard to argue with.
