The trailer for“The One About Matthew Perry”landed Tuesday, and it’s already everywhere. The three-part Netflix documentary premieres October 27, and it digs into both sides of Perry’s life: the Chandler Bing years that made him one of the most quoted sitcom characters ever, and the addiction that eventually took him. Former assistant Kenneth“Kenny”Iwamasa received a 41-month prison sentence for his involvement in the fatal overdose.
Interviews with friends, former partners, and colleagues round out the story, with one person summing it up: great stories hold comedy and tragedy together, and that was Matthew’s story.
