Memorial Health System to Build 11,000-Square-Foot Medical Complex in Elgin by Late 2027

Residents of Elgin and the rural communities along the I-44 corridor will soon have a new option for health care much closer to home. Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma has announced plans for an 11,000-square-foot medical complex in Elgin, expected to open in late 2027. The facility will bundle primary care, urgent care, laboratory services, behavioral health, diagnostic imaging, and pharmacy services into a single location.

The project has drawn support from the City of Elgin and the Elgin Community Development Authority. Sean McAvoy, executive director of Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma, said the clinic represents the system’s continued commitment to quality health care for Elgin and surrounding communities. Elgin Mayor JJ Francais described the project as more than a building, calling it the full package. A groundbreaking ceremony is planned, with time and location to be announced later.

For many families in the area, the biggest impact will be time saved. A quick trip for a lab draw, an X-ray, or a prescription often means a drive into Lawton. A local complex with urgent care and imaging could cut those trips dramatically while bringing construction jobs and economic activity to the corridor.
