Meghan Markle’s new gig hosting Junior MasterChef Australia was always going to spark conversation, and this week her cohost Poh Ling Yeow weighed in on the response. Network 10 announced the spinoff after Meghan’s guest appearance on MasterChef Australia last year, with filming set for May 2027 and the season airing later that year. The reaction online was mixed, to put it gently.

Yeow, who was runner-up on the show’s first season back in 2009 and now serves as a judge, described the fallout as a“crazy experience”and revealed she took some criticism by association. She also said Meghan has“a will of steel,”adding that the whole ordeal left her with even more admiration for the Duchess.

As for the reunion itself, Yeow said she had“a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year”and called working together again“a real treat.”Filming doesn’t even start until May 2027, so there’s plenty of time for the internet to settle down. Or not. Will you be watching when it airs?
