Madelyn Cline and TikTok Star Henry Smith Call It Quits After Whirlwind Spring Romance

Another chapter closes in Madelyn Cline’s well-documented love life. The Outer Banks actress and TikTok star Henry Smith have ended their relationship after a brief but notably public romance that kicked off this spring.

The pair’s story was a fast burn. Back in April, Cline and Smith sparked dating rumors when they were spotted holding hands at a live show for“Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast.”But rather than keeping things low-key, Smith decided to let the internet in on the fun—literally introducing Cline to his family via TikTok just weeks later. The Easter video showed her dancing and laughing with Smith’s mother, the two of them attempting to make a“carrot mimosa”and struggling through an egg-dyeing project (Smith had grabbed brown eggs instead of white, so that was a wash). Fans ate it up. By Coachella in late April, Cline and Smith were making their festival rounds together, even dancing to Zara Larsson’s“Lush Life”in one of their TikTok posts.

This split arrives as part of a longer pattern. Since rising to fame with her 2020 role as Sarah Cameron on Netflix’s Outer Banks, Cline has been candid about the difficulties of dating in the public eye. She’s cycled through several high-profile relationships—Chase Stokes (her Outer Banks costar, 2020–2021), DJ Zack Bia (2021–2022), musician Jackson Guthy (2022–2023), and Pete Davidson (2023–2024)—plus a rumored connection with Prince Constantine Alexios in 2025. Yet she hasn’t lost faith in love itself. Speaking to People in August 2025, Cline reflected on her dating history with refreshing honesty:“Fall in love, don’t be afraid of it. Look, historically, I haven’t been, like, the most successful [at love], so don’t take advice from me until I figure it out.
