The internet had its fun with those AI-generated wedding photos showing Zendaya and Tom Holland tying the knot, but stylist Law Roach just shut down any lingering questions about whether the fake images captured the real magic. Spoiler: they didn’t come close.

During a Monday, June 29 appearance on Good Morning America, the 47-year-old fashion expert made it crystal clear that the actual dress—the one Zendaya wore in her private ceremony—was on an entirely different level.“That dress was not good enough,”Roach told host Lara Spencer, before adding with confidence,“Trust me, the dress is better than that.”When Spencer pressed him on whether it was fair to say the real creation looked nothing like the AI version, Roach laughed and replied,“Absolutely not.”

The fake images had circulated widely online, showing an AI-generated Zendaya in a white satin wedding dress with a fitted bodice and draped neckline, paired with pointed toe pumps, heart-shaped glasses, and a cascading lace-edged veil. Meanwhile, the fictional Holland wore a classic black tuxedo with satin lapels against a Lake Como, Italy backdrop. Cute, sure—but apparently not haute couture level.

This isn’t Roach’s first time weighing in on the couple’s nuptials. Back in March, he spilled the beans at the 2026 Actor Awards that the wedding had already happened.“The wedding has already happened,”he told Access Hollywood on March 1.“You missed it.”Holland later confirmed the news in a June 16 Esquire interview, revealing that his family members saw through the AI images immediately because, well, they were actually there when he and Zendaya exchanged vows.

The fake photos did cause some unintended chaos—some people actually thought they’d been left off the guest list and were upset about it. Zendaya addressed the AI-generated images during a March 16 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, noting that“many people have been fooled by them.”She recounted how strangers would compliment her“wedding photos”while she was out and about, forcing her to explain they were AI creations, not real.

As for what fans can look forward to, the newlyweds will appear together on screen in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, set for release on July 31. That’s one wedding photo moment everyone will actually get to see.
