Kelly Clarkson's Wayfair Collection Briefly Had Bird Ornaments During Her Art of Play Feud

Kelly Clarkson’s feud with Brooklyn novelty shop Art of Play over a musical bird named Molly just picked up a very on-the-nose twist. Her Wayfair holiday collection briefly featured bird-themed ornaments, including a brushed metal set and a cardinal set, right as the drama was heating up. Rolling Stone flagged the timing, and the items were later moved out of the Kelly Clarkson Home banner and re-categorized. Wayfair says the products were curated three months ago, so make of that what you will.

The original drama started October 10, when Clarkson said an Art of Play clerk refused to sell her Molly, a musical bird she wanted to take home. The store’s position: Molly is a one-of-a-kind automaton permanently attached to the wall and simply not for sale. Since then, both sides have traded claims, fan armies have chosen teams, and security footage of her five-minute visit was released Wednesday on Pablo Torre Finds Out.

It’s a celebrity-versus-small-business showdown with memes, merch jokes, and an oddly timed ornament coincidence layered on top. The internet loves a bird-based beef, and this one keeps delivering new chapters.
