Karol G Reveals "BbY WOW" Almost Got Cut From Her Album Before Hitting No. 1

Karol G’s“BbY WOW”is in its third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, but the song was nearly left off No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto entirely. In an interview with LOS40, the Colombian superstar admitted she didn’t feel the track was finished and had decided it wasn’t making the album.

Everything shifted when Karol started exploring alternative, indie, ambient, and pop-rock sounds and discovered rusowsky, whose style she described as the perfect balance between alternative and urban. She brought in rusowsky and Judeline to finish the record, and both artists recorded their parts remotely from separate locations in Spain. The moment those verses landed, Karol published the official tracklist. She credits rusowsky’s contribution with putting the cherry on top.
