Jamar Goff, the 23-year-old foster son of Food Network star Ree Drummond, was sentenced Wednesday in Alabama in a drug possession and assault case. Court documents obtained by Page Six show Goff received a 48-month suspended sentence for second-degree assault, along with a separate 24-month suspended sentence for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
The sentencing also comes with conditions. Goff, a former college football player, was placed on 12 months of supervised probation and ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation as well as random drug testing. A suspended sentence means the time is on hold rather than served immediately, though the probation terms keep him under court supervision.
The case has drawn attention because of Drummond’s massive public profile as a celebrity chef and television personality. So far, she hasn’t made any public statement about the sentencing. Page Six has been following the case as it moves through the court system.
