They pushed back on speculation their breakup was rooted in disrespect or toxicity, describing their five-year relationship as loving and respectful. Still, intent and impact aren’t the same thing. A joke can be meant playfully and still land poorly, especially when it’s about someone you were engaged to and that someone didn’t ask for it to be immortalized on a podcast feed.
