Inde Navarrette is hosting“Saturday Night Live”for the first time tonight, and she’s doing it on one of the rarest nights in the show’s history. The“Obsession”star takes the Studio 8H stage on Oct. 31, 2026, marking only the fifth live Halloween episode in“SNL’s”52 seasons. The last one was John Mulaney’s in 2020, so this is a genuine event, not just another Saturday.
The episode airs live coast-to-coast at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC. Che and Jost will be at the“Weekend Update”desk as always, with Kenan Thompson and the rest of the Season 52 cast backing up the first-timer. One heads-up: college football coverage could delay the start in some time zones, so double-check your local listings before showtime.
No cable? You’re covered. DIRECTV is offering a five-day free trial that includes NBC, so cord-cutters can stream the whole episode without a subscription. It’s a rare Halloween episode, a first-time host, and a free way in. What more do you need on a Saturday night? Tell us in the comments: who should host“SNL”next?
