Amanda Batula and West Wilson took Halloween very literally this year. The reality TV couple stepped out in matching orange and white tuxedos straight from Dumb and Dumber, a nod to Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels’iconic characters. Their caption? A simple“Soup du jour.”Amanda followed up in the comments with“when art imitates life,”and honestly, that line is doing a lot of work.
The post landed amid real-life drama. Amanda and West went public in March, months after her separation from Kyle Cooke, and the timeline drew serious scrutiny at the Summer House season 10 reunion. Us Weekly also reports Amanda declined a second season of the spinoff In the City and is stepping back from reality TV. Meanwhile, sources say her friendship with Kyle has hit a rough patch as the divorce moves forward.
So the comment section split fast: some mocking the couple, some defending them, and everyone with an opinion. Was it a cute, self-aware costume, or a strategic distraction? Either way, it worked, because we’re all still talking about it. What’s the boldest couples costume you’ve ever pulled off? Let us know on our socials.
