Harry Styles gave Madison Square Garden a moment it won’t forget on October 16, 2026. During his 30-night New York residency on the“Together, Together”tour, Styles told the crowd that two years ago that day he lost a friend, then asked if he could play a song he wrote for that friend about two years ago. The friend was Liam Payne, who died at 31 in Buenos Aires in 2024, and the song is called“What Is Enough.”
The performance was the first time anyone heard the song live. Styles told the room,“Two years ago today, I lost one of those friends,”and spoke about looking after each other before playing. The tribute follows public reflections from Payne’s former bandmates Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, and it lands during an already emotional stretch for Directioners.
Styles’residency continues through the month and closes with a“Harryween”show on October 31. Fans online are already calling the debut one of the most moving moments of the entire tour.
