The Golden Bachelor season 2 couple is officially over. Peg Munson announced on October 21 that she ended her relationship with Mel Owens, nearly a year after the finale where he gave her a 3.5-carat commitment ring instead of a proposal. In her statement, Munson said that sometimes even when there’s love, it just doesn’t turn out the way we hoped.
The split is the latest on a long list of 2026 breakups. Bill Hader and Ali Wong kicked off the year in January, followed by Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater, and Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid.
