A private jet carrying actress Amy Jo Johnson and New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg had a terrifying moment Sunday at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. The Dassault Falcon 50 couldn’t get airborne during takeoff, ran out of runway, skidded off Runway 1L and struck a perimeter fence. Two runways closed for inspection, flights were delayed, and the FAA briefly halted traffic after declaring an aircraft emergency. No one was hurt.
Johnson, best known as Kimberly Hart on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, posted Monday that she was grateful and“very happy to be alive.”Wahlberg, in Vegas for NKOTB’s“The Right Stuff”residency at Dolby Live, credited the pilots directly:“These pilots saved our lives. And God covered us.”Johnson had attended the group’s final show of the run with her boyfriend, Power Rangers writer Matt Hotson.
