The wait is officially over. Gnarls Barkley, the duo behind 2006’s unstoppable“Crazy,”has announced their first North American tour in 18 years. The nine-city“To Whom It Still Concerns”Tour kicks off November 5 at The Masonic in San Francisco and closes November 28 at the House of Blues in Chicago. It’s their first live run since performing at Austin City Limits on September 28, 2008.
The tour supports“Atlanta,”the pair’s third and final album, which arrived in March. CeeLo Green and producer Danger Mouse have billed this as the closing chapter, describing the shows as an open book“exploring the universal matters of life, death and everything in between.”In their own words, these songs are“the silver lining to an otherwise sad story.”
Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 24 via livenation.com, and with only nine dates, expect these to move fast.“St. Elsewhere,”their 2006 debut, gave us“Crazy,”which spent nine weeks at number one in the U.K. and became a defining hit of the decade. Eighteen years later, fans finally get to hear it live again. Which city are you hoping to catch them in?
