Robbie Williams turned the 2026 Melbourne Cup into his own concert. The British pop star opened the day at Flemington Racecourse in a bedazzled horse-themed suit, launching into“Feel”with dancers, musicians, and a marching band behind him. He followed with“Rock DJ,”got close to the Cup during“Angels,”and wrapped his mini-set with“Let Me Entertain You.”
The racing was just as big. Point Of Law won the 166th Melbourne Cup before a crowd of more than 97,000, the largest turnout since 2016. After the race, Williams kept the party going at The Elms Live Stage with a full set featuring covers of Oasis, Midnight Oil, Shania Twain, and INXS.
Williams now takes that energy on the road. His BRITPOP World Tour of Australia and New Zealand opens Nov. 7 in Adelaide. Which part of his Cup performance would you have wanted to see live: the horse suit entrance, the“Angels”moment by the Cup, or the after-race covers set?
